There are over 1.1 billion people around the world without access
to clean water. Over 10 million people die each year of some type
of water-borne illness.
Water and Sanitation Fact from World Vision
- Every 21 seconds, a child dies from a water-related illness.
- More than 2.7 billion people have inadequate or nonexistent access to proper sanitation.
- When a community gains access to clean water, its child mortality rate drops by
half.

Our project in the Copan mountains of Honduras aims to provide families in remote
areas access to pure, clean water through the
biosand water filter. This project also gives us the opportunity to share
about the Living Water of Jesus Christ to those we meet. To learn more about our

The material cost for a filter is $35 but the total cost of making, transporting, and installing a filter in a mountain village home is $75. One filter supplies clean water to up to 35 people.
