Aycock Newletter, Oct 2010
We are already in October and it seems like this year has flown by. We were in the United States for a few months this year waiting on my wife’s green card. When you apply for a green card you have to stay in the US until it comes through. It has been a two year journey but we finally have the green card. Thanks for all the prayers concerning the entire process. We are now able to travel back and forth whenever we want.
Even with the time here in the US we have been able to get a lot of work done in Honduras. We have had four groups from Asbury UMC that have come to Honduras to help. With the first two groups we were able to make filters and started two new villages. The two new villages are El Jardin and Colon. From June-September, with the four groups, we were able to make 38 filters and install 32 in three different villages. Please continue to pray for the villages that have filters as well as these two new villages. Also continue to pray for my helper, Luis. He has been helping me for the last two years and I have been working with him and trying to minister to him. We are finally starting to see that seed take root. When we start new villages we always share the gospel message and read the Bible. This time when we started the filter project in El Jardin, he read the Bible!! God is working on him so keep him in your prayers.
